Scrubngo was founded by Mark DuBois
and his father Wayne in June of 2004. The DuBois family had
run one of Florida’s largest and most successful pepper
growing operations for over 45 years.
The
DuBois farmed over 3000 acres per year. Mark had been
responsible for all of the spraying operations for nearly 20
years. The family made the fateful decision to leave the
growing business, to move in the direction of developing
products that make the farming safer and easier. The area of
concern that always interested the DuBois family was how to
provide safer work conditions employees involved with the
harvesting and spraying of crops. Herbicides and pest
control are always concern because of the danger they pose
when they are exposed to eyes or skin. Complying with
OSHA
standards and providing a safe work place for his employees
has always been
a priority for Wayne DuBois. Mark Dubois’ knack for
developing innovative technologies to make the Family farm
efficient and safer, felt it was necessary to provide a
mobile safety/cleaning station that would give assist in the
preliminary treatment of job related accidents or simply
clean up when the nearest facilities were miles away. With
that in mind Mark and his crack staff researched
OSHA
regulations to determine what was required to meet the
workplace standard; the rule states an employer needs to
provide workers with water, soap and a manner to dry your
hands. The three patented inventions Mark designed are
simple but an efficient way to provide eye wash and a wash
station.
